Help us provide quality programs for the youth in our community...

A website (www.mouha.org) has been created to help those seeking to support Mouhammadou's family and maintain his memory.
===================================
Dear Friends of Mouhammadou Faye and Family,
Thanks so much for everyone's generous support for Mouha's family during this difficult time.
To make information easy to find, www.mouha.org includes details about:
- the meal train, and
- plans for an endowed fund through Oregon Community Foundation to support youth sports, as well as compassion and inclusion in schools and on the playing field.
We'll keep this website up to date beyond the celebration of life this Sunday, with new information on how to support the family, and with plans to maintain Mouha's memory and spark for years to come.
Thank you so much.
Dennis Galvan, on behalf of Mouha's family (Jean, Amsatou and Fatou)

2018 Track & Field is almost here!!

2018 Track & Field season begins Monday, April 9, 2018

Practice: Mon. - Thurs. 5:15 - 6:30 p.m. *Athletes are not required to be at all practices.*

Location: South Eugene High School Track (parking lot on 24th St. at corner with Amazon Parkway) *On days that there are HS or MS meets on the track we will need to change our practice location and will notify you of any changes well in advance via email, our website & Facebook.*

ALL athletes must be fully registered in order to participate! This is due to insurance policy, and in the interest of athlete safety.

All youth, ages 7-18, of any ability, who want to participate, are welcome!

We are offering three season options for the 2018 Track & Field Season.

  1. Full Season: 4/9 - 7/8/18 ($245.00)
  2. Short Season: 5/21 - 7/8/18 (190.00)*
  3. Split Season: 4/9 - 4/26/18 & 6/4 - 7/8/18 ($190.00)**

*The short season was created to accommodate the track & field program schedules for various area Middle Schools, and athletes that are participating in other sports. Come extend your season with us and participate in the Junior Olympic Championship Meets!

**The split season was created to accomodate the track & field program schedule for Springfield Middle Schools. Come for pre-season conditioning & training, and then extend your season with us!

EVTC participates in several meets throughout the season. Athletes are not required to compete, but it is strongly encouraged. A calendar of possible meets can be found on our Athletic.net team page. We will let you know as soon as possible what meets we will be participating in as a team, the registration process, and the associated fees (typically $5-$10).

Our season runs through July 9th, which is the day after the USATF Region 13 Junior Olympic Championship Meet. Some of our athletes competing in the Regional Meet will qualify for the National Junior Olympic Meet. The National Meet takes place July 23-29, in Greensboro, NC. We will offer a post-season for qualifying athletes that are planning on attending the meet. There will be a $50 fee to help cover post-season coaching and other potential costs associated with supporting participation at Nationals (this does not include coaching at the meet).

Scholarships are available for those in need. Application requirements are outlined in the registration process.

Emerald Valley Track Club (EVTC) is an independent, non-profit 401c3, youth based sports organization that is sanctioned by the USATF. The goal of this club is to encourage and help young people to develop physically, emotionally, and socially through their involvement in track & field and cross country. We also strive to introduce youth to competition and help them to improve skills in these sports, and build confidence for life.

In preparation for practice, please make sure to bring warm clothes, running shoes, and water. If you have any reflective clothing and/or lighted gear, I definitely recommend wearing that. There are no lights at the SEHS track, but we'll get most of the running in before dark. Once it's dark, we'll switch to more strength training and stretching, so definitely bring warm clothes for the second half of practice.

    Registration is OPEN!
